Default Factions Or Nightfall?

I have got Prophecies and I'm planning to buy Factions or Nightfall. Which one do you think is better?

Tough question to answer right now as nobody is likely to have gotten any further in nightfall yet than they could in the free preview event.
Having admitted to not having much nightfall experience I still would recommend nightfall. My key reason is that Factions is likely to be very quiet with a dearth of skilled players as many will migrate to nightfall. The pvp modes introduced in factions were an important part of that game, but of the 3 modes that Factions introduced, even before nightfall's release 2 of them were essentially unplayable due to lack of participation (although they were fun, I tried them out during double faction events).

Factions has a stronger focus on PvP play. In contrast Nightfall is supposed to have a longer, better balanced PvE campaign. Which style do you prefer?

Nightfall also just came out today, so you may see a lot of players migrating to the new campaign for the next several weeks. You may want to go where the players are.

go with NightFall, it's a better game IMO, much better. It also adds new features that can't be found in factions.

and remember to add the CD key to existing account, if not you have 2 seperate games.

nightfall is alot more fun and buying fraction atm isnt a good idea as most people will be playing NF so hard to get partys for missions/quests..

I have prefered NF alot more then fractions but iv only played for a night. but i would get NF so you canjoin in with every 1 else who doesnt know what to do =D

I would say buy Fac for spirit bond alone, but thats nerfed

Get NF, great game so far-some bugs but nothing major.

I think Nightfall is better and longer. Nightfall got 20 missions Factions only 13.

Nightfall is bigger, but Factions is pretty fun too. It has some cool missions and areas to explore.

I'd go with Nightfall if you had to choose and maybe pick up Factions at some point in the future.

I enjoy playing in order they came out...but If I could only pick one, Nightfall. ONLY because I am more of a PvE player and enjoying Nightfall. Factions, like everyone said, is more PvP related however the missions in the PvE were defiantly team oriented, very difficult to try and run and do yourself.

Cantha will be pretty empty right now, since most players will be playing Nightfall because it was just released. If you need the skills from Factions, then I would suggest buying it a little while from now when people start migrating back over to complete their explorer/protector/skill titles.
